The Journey Begins

I struck out on a journey of discovery, but found myself lost in the lush, green abundance of Jungleburbia.

My early steps took me to a world of awe and wonder as bounteous plants, ferns and fennel spirited me away to mysterious worlds that were far from home.

Deeper Into The Land Away From Civilization

As I wandered further, the wonders and beauty of Jungleburbia stunned me! I was mesmerized by hanging flowers that appeared to be quite at home in this strange and quiet world.

The Land That Man Ignores Will Find Its Own Rewards

Such a wild and human free world! The trees and vines seemed determined to live in harmony and peace. Not one sight gave evidence of the presence of civilization or human occupancy.

I was becoming concerned as I appeared to have become lost in Jungleburbia!

The End Of The Journey Through Jungleburbia

As soon as my apprehension began to approach the stages of panic, I came to a clearing and discovered this incredible sight, a lake with an island that could have housed a queen, a troll or a wizard. I no longer despaired of finding my way home, because from my dreams, I had come to know this place...and it is Jungleburbia.

The scene brought tears to my eyes that even affected the quality of the photo! (That is my story and I am sticking to it).

Actually, the photos were the rewards of a two mile walk, where if I had turned the camera a few degrees to the left, the viewer would see a four lane, highly active street that is usually carrying high speed traffic of all kinds.

This is the result of city planning that aggressively insisted on extensive landscaping and open spaces that that are accessible within a short walk of any housing development.

The process of enforcing strict landscaping and state of the art planning requirements created mini environments for thousands of preexisting life forms. There are molds and insects, tumbleweeds and grasses, shrubs and trees, fish and small mammals and an incredible array of birds.

All indigenous life is now able to live on, in harmony with the human occupants of Jungleburbia.
